Future bloc considered former Prime Minister Saad Hariri's return to Beirut as contributing to the restoration of March 14 unity and ending the almost two-year long presidential vacuum through launching serious moves in this regard.

"Hariri's return to Beirut steps up hopes for revitalizing constitutional institutions and the remaining state institutions," Future said in a statement read out by MP Ammar Houry in the wake of its periodic meeting at the Central House, under the chairmanship of Hariri.

The bloc broached most recent developments on the local arena.

The bloc also expressed the urgent need to respect the content and the spirit of the Taef Accord and the National Charter, as well as to uphold to the constitutional principles which distinguish the Lebanese political system based on respect for public and private liberties, and the rules and norms of democracy and Arab belonging.

Future bloc also renewed commitment to Hariri's call on all MPs to attend the parliamentary sessions and practice their normal constitutional duty, notably in electing a new president of the republic.

The bloc also urged all to fully comply with the parliamentary democratic rules and the electoral outcome, refusing the logic of appointment and disruption attempts.

Future emphasized that there should be full consensus on the need to restore the role of the capable and fair state, embracing the various Lebanese spectrum and spreading its authority and prestige over the entire Lebanese territory.

Future also voiced strong conviction that the opportunity is still available in front of the leaders and forces of March 14 to engage in a serious process at the various political and organizational levels in the face of the new hegemony plan in Lebanon.

The Bloc concluded by heaping praises on the undertaken efforts by Saudi Arabia to salvage the Syrian people from what it termed as the intimidation of killings and confessional displacement, as well as Saudi Kingdom's fight against terrorism and securing safe havens to the displaced people.
