Both Lebanese Forces head, Samir Geagea, and Future Movement leader, Saad Hariri, on Monday urged the lawmakers to head to the Parliament and elect a new president of the Lebanese state, in the wake of the former Prime Minister's return in Beirut.

Hariri visited Geagea at Maarab, whereby he maintained that the presidential vacuum was a "disaster." "What is important now is to head to the Parliament and elect a new president."

Geagea also urged the lawmakers to choose a new state head, arguing that March 8 camp now has no pretense not to head to the Parliament.

"Martyr Rafic Hariri was assassinated because he wanted to build a country thr right way, and a real state; this is why we need to return to the basis. And our meeting today is only a step of the way," he said.

Hariri has indicated that alongside his father's killing, he and Geagea were still part of March 14 forces. "What I meant yesterday in my speech was that Lebanon would have been better if reconciliations took place earlier," he explained.

"We must urge everybody to head to the Parliament; this is the real constitutional right that each MP must assume," he corroborated.
