Former PM and head of the pro-Hariri parliamentarian Bloc Fouad Sinyora responded to Wikileaks account reprinted in March 8 medias accusing him of demanding full Israeli liquidation of Hezbollah during the 2006 onslaught.
Sinyora's media office described Wikileaks' reports as total baseless distortions intended for political purposes. He attributed the whole affair to what he termed as "High-placed March 8 decision aimed at smearing his reputation politically regardless of documents' actual content."
Among Sinyora's self-defense in the face of March 8 critics, his media office cited his acceptance of unconditional cease-fire from earliest hours of hostilities and that the 8-point American proposals coincided with high Lebanese interests.
The statement concluded on a note that all attempts at smearing his reputation were bound to fail
