Prime Minister-designate Najib Miqati stressed Monday that Lebanon holds onto its ties with the international community and the concept of justice.
"Lebanon holds onto the best of relations with the international community, the respect of international resolutions and the concept of justice," Miqati told a visiting Dutch parliamentary delegation.

He said he was intensifying contacts with all Lebanese parties to guarantee a holistic participation in the cabinet, hoping that the formation of the new government would end the political crisis in Lebanon.

The head of the delegation, Hendrik Jan Ormel, said the Netherlands was looking forward to a new Lebanese government and good bilateral ties.

He said Miqati informed his visitors that he was moving forward in his efforts to form the cabinet.

The parliamentary delegation also met with President Michel Suleiman.

Meanwhile, Kataeb members said on Monday in the wake of the Party's weekly meeting, "March 14 leaderships have given a chance to attain "minimum required" consensus over common national denominators".

"Kataeb suggested solutions which allow all to take part in the imminent cabinet," statement said making clear that that Kataeb's intentions strictly fall in the nation's best interest.

Presided by Party leader Amine Gemayel, Kataeb members called on the Lebanese to learn a lesson by looking at regional changes and revolutions.

"Those sides attempting at pushing Lebanon into a unilateral governance adventure should acquire a lesson from regional developments and beware of the dangerous political situation the nation is falling into under the pressure of illegal weapons," statement added.
